The Florida Bar News, Vol. 33, No. 19, October 1, 2006 BRAVING SUMMER HEAT, a team from St. Thomas University School of Law dug swales, laid sod, and planted trees and shrubs to landscape eight homes in Pompano Beach, as part of Habitat for Humanity’s Women Building a Legacy Program. The ongoing efforts have helped local women take action and move their children out of poverty by providing an opportunity to purchase affordable, safe housing.
