The firm is proud to offer the following courses to all Board members and community association managers who wish to attend. The courses are free of charge and will be held at NEWSRADIO 610 WIOD's state of the art media center in Miramar. The courses will be offered after normal working hours and refreshments will be served. The courses present a great opportunity for everyone to learn the law and network with other associations, Board members and community association managers. Each course will be no more than 2 hours and will be in a fun and interactive format.
Course One: Legal Update: (2 Credits)
The course focuses on the many changes to Florida condominium law made during the 2008 Florida legislative session. These changes occurred in the areas of community association management, qualifications for Board membership, disqualification of Board members, personal liability of directors and officers, voting, staggered terms, the collection and foreclosure process and more............
Course Two: Condos and HOAs - Similarities and Differences (2 elective credits)
A first of its kind, this course focuses on Florida law in condominiums and how that law differs from the legal requirements in an HOA. It's a perfect course for community association managers who find themselves working in both HOA and condominium communities and for Board members who have moved from one type of community association to the other.
